Montreal
The thirteenth set of photographs of my year abroad in Canada. The City of Montreal is a great mixture of North American as well as European culture. The unique combination of european-style buildings and an "american" downtown core enables one to be among modern skyscrapers just seconds after walking through narrow, cobbled roads. Unexpectedly, Montreal also has a gothic-style church, Notre-Dame de Montréal. Of course, Mont Royal is not only worth a visit in daytime but offers an awesome vista point at night as well. The fireworks on new year's eve (hosted by a big soda company which does not allow pro cameras on their event site) is also incredible, even at -30°C.
